Meet Michael Lin, M.D.

Dr. Michael Lin received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with high honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Lin received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He then completed his dermatology residency training and National Institutes of Health research fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr Lin is a California-licensed physician and board-certified dermatologist. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology , Adjunct Professor of Clinical Medicine at University of Southern California, and Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. In 2021, Dr. Lin became one of the first Mohs surgeons to achieve board certification through the American Board of Dermatology Subspecialty in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, the highest level of distinction in dermatologic surgery . Acknowledged by his peers for his expertise, Dr. Lin has published many papers, lectured to audiences all over the world and is always available to answer questions from patients, colleagues, and the media. He has appeared on National TV and Radio to provide expertise in diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders, created over 1000 YouTube educational videos, and remains active in the Social Media community.

With successful practices in Sherman Oaks, Valencia, Beverly Hills and Oxnard, California, Dr Michael Lin interacts with patients on a daily basis, who have come to know and trust him, with all of their skin care needs. Over the years, Dr Lin has specialized in laser therapy and through these services, has built a very loyal and trusting patient base. Over the years, Dr Lin has specialized in innovative therapies that have tested the boundaries of the traditional dermatology field. For this reason, Dr. Lin often uses a multi-specialty approach to address complex medical issues. While this approach has traditionally been used in the hospital or academic setting, Dr. Lin has found that the approach translates well to the private practice outpatient setting.

Dr. Lin lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing chess and gardening. Dr. Lin also enjoys fixing things around the house and working with computers and other electronic equipment. He has a pet rabbit named Chip and loves nature. He believes that we are the stewards of the earth and we need to protect the environment.
