Skincare Regimen for Eczema

The foundation for controlling eczema is good skin care and good skin care products. If the skin care products are gentle and protect the skin, the chance that the skin will get irritated and inflamed is lower. We can recommend a good skin care regimen to help keep you skin protected and healthy.

Topical Prescriptions and Treatments

In the event the skin does become inflamed, we can prescribe topical steroids or steroid-sparing agents like Elidel, Protopic, and Eucrisa. For more severe cases, a short course of oral steroids may be indicated. We are also one of the few dermatology offices that offer excimer laser and narrow band UVB treatments.

One of the newest treatments is an injectable biologic called Dupixent. This medication has been successful in treating patients with severe eczema.
